Back in July 2023, EA made a huge announcement for a Single-Player Black Panther game which is being developed by Cliffhanger Games. For a while, no further info regarding the game was revealed. However, thanks to a notable industry insider, TheGhostOfHope, we now have details regarding the combat, story, and characters of the game.
Black Panther Game Details
According to TheGhostOfHope, players have the option to choose the next Black Panther featuring T’Challa, M’Baku, Azari, Shuri, Killmonger, and more. In addition, each Black Panther will have their unique weapons, armor, and gadgets. making each playstyle distinctive.
The leak also reveals that the game will feature an “over-the-shoulder camera perspective,” a feature first introduced in the original Resident Evil 4. Moreover, the game will have open-world exploration where players can explore cities, savannahs, and diverse cultures. Combat in the game will blend “African martial arts with superhuman strength, agility, and advanced tech,” possibly showcasing Wakanda’s advanced tech in the Marvel Universe.
By far, the leak I’m most excited about is the unique missions and interactions we get based on our choices. Hopefully, this could lead to multiple endings for players to explore based on the choices they made along their journey.
Although these leaks are indeed exciting, it’s important to take this info with a grain of salt until we get official confirmation from the developers or EA. Hopefully, soon, we’ll get more details about the game and its overall setting.
