It’s been almost four years since Far Cry 6 was released. Although Ubisoft has yet to unveil the next entry in the Far Cry series, leaks have been circulating regarding the plot of Far Cry 7. A Reddit user, KekanKok, revealed that they posted casting call details for Far Cry 7 which has been taken down due to copyright notice. Therefore, there may be credibility in one way or another regarding these leaks.
Far Cry 7 Plot Details

Below are the plot details KekanKok shared regarding the characters and setting.
The plot seems to revolve around a wealthy family called the Bennets: Layla, Dax, Brie, Christian, Henry, and Krista. The family members engage in a power struggle similar to the series Succession. One of the villains is named Ian Duncan, described as a “conspiracy theorist with an army of believers” and an “envy of the wealthy elite and the power they wield.” Alongside these characters are two others who appear to be secondary: John Mackay and a doctor named Safna Kazan. Another detail is that New England is mentioned several times in the descriptions, suggesting this could be the setting.
As far as a release date is concerned, Insider Gaming has revealed that Ubisoft is currently targeting the release of big-hit titles by the end of 2026. One of these titles mentioned is Far Cry 7. So, we could only assume it won’t be long till we get some teaser trailer for the game. At the end of the day, it’s still important to take these leaks with a grain of salt. All we can do now is wait and see what Ubisoft has in store for us after Assassin’s Creed Shadows is out.
