According to industry insider eXtas1s, Microsoft might finally be working on the new Xbox controller. The rumored details about the controller match most of the description in the Microsoft FTC leak regarding the Xbox Sebile controller. If these rumors are indeed accurate, then it may boost Xbox console and cloud gaming experiences.
New Xbox Controller Details

Based on the translation, New codenames were found in the “XCloud files: Sebile_Delgado, Sebile_EV1B, Actium_Duet, and Actium_Evo.” The controller is also claimed to be compatible with the next Xbox and is already listed in the cloud gaming files.
In addition, the new Xbox controller will reportedly come with modular, improved haptics, rechargeable batteries, and a gesture to wake up the controller. Interestingly, these details also match the FTC leaked image regarding the Xbox Sebile controller.
As far as the claim regarding Microsoft preparing a “strong blow in the industry,” I don’t think that’s the case. Yes, these features, if are indeed true, will help in improving the Xbox controller. However, some of these features are already in Sony’s DualSense controller.
I believe Microsoft could be looking to refine and build upon the existing features, rather than revolutionize the industry. The addition of modular components could allow players to customize their controllers based on personal preferences, much like the Xbox Elite Series 2, but more accessible for casual gamers.
All in all, it’s still important to wait for Microsoft’s confirmation when the new Xbox controller is revealed. In the meantime, how about preparing a Bingo Card and seeing which features come to life while we wait for more details?
