In the Silent Hill 2 Remake announcement trailer, there’s a scene featuring the protagonist James Sunderland gazing into a mirror. It seems that Konami’s Blooder Team has given that scene a new design, and all over the internet fans are taking the news pretty well.

In the recent updates in the back-end of Steam, Konami, and developer Bloober Team have made some changes to the appearance of the protagonist. These changes have brought the design of the main character back to the original design of the original game. The original image has yet to be added to the game’s Steam listing, but it can be found on SteamDB, a third-party database that frequently reveals content before it’s officially released to the public. Following the Silent Hill 2 remake’s reveal trailer, some fans criticized how Bloober Team chose to recreate James’ appearance, while others focused on the mechanism and fear aspect of the game. The trailer shows our Main character’s new look in which James looks quite old as a middle-aged man. The Design shows a difference in the art style of the protagonist from the original story design of the old Silent Hill and gives it a more creative look that draws it new aspect.
After
The New Character Design in the update on SteamDB shows the protagonist character style similar to some aspects of the old character design of the old game, which the fans quite like it despite it having only been revealed as part of the updated file in the Steam database.

Concluding Remarks
Fans are optimistic but the history of Konami is not so great for us to consider it best for the game yet. Like Konami canceling out the PT game and the new lackluster titles like Pachinko Machine. But all in all the new Silent Hill’s 2 Remake is one of the most anticipated games that the fans are waiting for it to be released and hope to receive the best experience of the Silent Hill Franchise.
