According to the official Sonic X Shadow Generations website, it looks like PlayStation users will get their hands on “Bonus PlayStation-Exclusive Prologue Animations” which will come with both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

Sonic X Shadow Generations Prologue Animation Exclusivity
As shown in the image above, the animation could be the one Sonic’s social media account teased featuring Shadow The Hedgehog. While this may seem an odd exclusive, chances are that players might still be able to view these animations on YouTube or a simple PC Mod might do the trick.
As for the game itself, it’s a remaster of Sonic Generations which was initially released in 2011 for the PS3, Xbox 360, 3DS, and PC. In addition, Shadow will be playable along with his previous adventures seen in prior Sonic titles. Other characters like Black Doom, and Biolizard will be making a return as well.
While initial trailers show promise of a great experience, only time will tell how the game will live up to fans’ expectations. Sonic X Shadow Generations will released on October 25, 2024, on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Epic Games, and Steam.
The game comes with digital and physical standard editions along with a digital deluxe edition which includes a 3-day early access, additional character skin and level for Shadow, Terios skin, extra BGM pack, digital artbook, skill points, and Sonic Adventure legacy skin (which I like) which is only available if you preorder the game.
