Originally, Tsukihime was released in 2000 and marked TYPE-MOON’s debut in the visual novel genre. The game features five routes centered around Arcueid, Ciel, Kohaku, Hisui, and Akiha. Each route offers unique experiences based on the player’s choices. With multiple endings, Tsukihime provides ample replayability for fans to explore different story paths and outcomes.

Although the remake of the game was initially announced in 2008, it was exclusively released in Japan in 2021 without an official localization. However, dedicated fans have created an impressive English patch for the Yuzu emulator. Fortunately, an official English release was finally confirmed during an anime expo and a subsequent announcement trailer on YouTube, revealing that the game will be available in 2024.
Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon is set to release in 2024 on PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The game will center around the Arcueid and Ciel routes, while also introducing new content from the original visual novel. Additionally, a sequel titled Tsukihime: The Other Side of Red Garden will explore the Kohaku, Hisui, Akiha, and the new Satsuki routes. Stay tuned for more information and updates on the official website.
